On May 3, 2024, a scientific conference on the topic “Multidisciplinary approach to determining the diagnosis of brain death” was held at Nakhchivan State University, jointly organized by the Scientific-Experimental and Educational Center of the Medical Service Department of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Central Customs Hospital, the Society of Resuscitators and Anesthesiologists of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Main Customs Department.

The conference was attended by the chairman and members of the board of our society.

The chairman of the board of the Coordination Center for Organ Donation and Transplantation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ph.D. Dr. Yegana Abbasova, made a speech on the topics of “Diagnosis and confirmation methods of brain death”, “Management of donor candidates in the intensive care unit after brain death”. A clinical protocol for establishing the diagnosis of “Brain death” approved by the Scientific Medical Council of the Ministry of Health of the New Azerbaijan Republic was presented.
